About
The taste of Ise women

It started during the Edo period and Tenpo era when Morita Kyuzo, the first generation, opened a sushi restaurant. After that, he ran a cooking inn, and also served as an imperial envoy's inn from the Meiji period, which was the most prosperous period, to the early Showa period. The current building, which still retains remnants of that time, was restored and renovated in 1981, and the wooden keyaki from Uji Bridge, which was given during the transfer of the palace in Meiji 2, is used as it is for the atrium beams. The signboards in front of the store are as they were in the old days, and there are only things that induce nostalgia, such as bookstores, water houses, and statues of cats and mice lying on beams. On the last day of every month, a rakugo party “Misoka vaudeville” is held, and morning porridge made with seasonal ingredients is served early in the morning of Sakuhi.
